S23 To-Go, Our New Mobile Studio, is Ready to Roll!

For the last few weeks, an ordinary ice cream style truck has been undergoing a spectacular transformation at Studio Two Three, Richmond's community art-making space in Scott's Addition. On Saturday, April 22, our new mobile print and photo making studio, will be revealed at the city's Earth Day celebration in the downtown neighborhood of Manchester. S23 To-Go will at last be ready for people to try their hands at printmaking, purchase t shirts made at Studio Two Three and develop prints. See you at Earth Day!

Many thanks to project manager Jake Urbanski for sourcing just the right materials to help get the truck ready for its new life as a mini studio, to Ross Trimmer for the colorful exterior paint job, and the many interns who have helped get the work done. And special thanks to our Indiegogo donors and to Windsor Foundation, Culture Works' Grants Program, and the Golden Rule Foundation for their generous support.

To read more about S23 To-Go and how to book it for your school, group or event, visit this web page.

GerryRIGGED Screening and Q&A

Studio Two Three is hosting a free screening of the WCVE-produced documentary, GerryRIGGED: Turning Democracy On Its Head, on the history of gerrymandering, the process in which district lines are redrawn to benefit certain political parties, in Virginia. The screening will be followed by a discussion about where we go from here. The event on Sunday, March 26, 3-5pm, is sponsored by OneVirginia 2021, a non-profit focused on ethical and fair redistricting.
