With artists Hamilton Glass and Enjoli Moon; Caron Sterling and Scott Garka of CultureWorks; Kendra Jones of Richmond Memorial Health Foundation, Cathy Rogers of the Virginia Commission for the Arts and Laurie Rogers, pro grant writer.

WE HAVE A RISOGRAPH!!! Learn about this magical unicorn of self publishing equipment.  You will experiment with image production and color separations for Riso printing.  The workshop will explore developing a collage-based technique for creating prints using physical materials, photographs, and drawings.  We will also introduce tools available in programs like Photoshop to process images for printing.  Single images and sequencing for zine production will both be covered.

Wood type and screen prints and graphic cuts - oh my!

Use choice pieces of Aimee's huge collection of printing blocks to make retro posters, flags and signs. Mostly farm-themed, there will also be patterns and shapes to combine with text and images from the studio's letterpress and screen printing collection. Bring your imagination and an apron! And your own paper and fabric if you'd like to experiment with them.
