In this course, we will explore reductive woodcut printing off the press with water-based, non-toxic inks. This technique is perfect for printing in or out of the studio. We will go over carving techniques, inking, printing, and registration.
JENNAWAY PEARSON is a printmaker, papermaker, and book artist, currently living in Washington, DC. She works as an adjunct faculty member at American University and George Washington University. Her work is focused on outsider artists, and the creation of legacy and can be found in the collections of The Library of Congress, The National Museum for Women in the Arts, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Middlebury, The Love Library at Printed Matter, as well as private collections.
