When illustrating digitally, you have the ability to combine function with fun! In this class, you'll learn the basics of Adobe Illustrator while making mini digital animal illustrations. We'll discuss inspiration and ideation and the creative techniques behind building a cohesive set of graphic illustrations. We will focus on process through sketching, as well as providing feedback for a solid foundation. Using basic tools and shapes, we will then explore with how to simplify and translate these drawings in a digital medium.

ALEX FULTON is a graphic designer and illustrator living and working in Richmond. As a print-based designer, she loves using many combined techniques such as drawing, collaging, painting and digital manipulation to create her work. Some of her favorite things are reading, fashion, cats, gardening, bugs, cooking, small rodents, video games, dogs and come to think of it, pretty much any animal of any kind.
