JUN 8, 10-4P

This course focuses on bringing light and color into the black and white darkroom. Chromoskedasic Sabatier is an alternative photographic process using Chromo A and B chemicals and sunlight along with regular darkroom paper, developer, and fixer. Students with a background in darkroom printing will learn how to paint with chemicals and light to create unique and one of a kind prints from pre-existing negatives. Your images will shift in color and produce a silvering out effect in the white areas of your print. Images with large white areas produce the greatest results in this medium.

MAGGIE FLANIGAN is a newcomer to Richmond having recently completed grad school at  Tyler School of Art in Philadelphia. She specializes in teaching art and photography at all levels as well as working with alternative photographic process, printmaking, and mixed media fiber arts.
