WITH ELIZABETH COGAR
MAY 19, 6-9PM
In this workshop you will make Shirt No. 1; a simple top with short sleeves. This loose fitting shirt is easy to wear and makes a great layering piece. The neck is finished with bias tape facing. Please bring 2 yards of laundered and ironed lightweight cotton or linen fabric (no jersey or knits). Bring your sewing machine if you have one.
*Basic sewing skills needed -- how to work your machine (rethread, bobbin winding, etc). Sign up for our Sewing 101 class first if necessary. No garment sewing skills necessary.
ELIZABETH COGAR learned her improvisational teaching and making style from her artist mother. She works with textiles, exploring methods of dyeing, printing, hand-stitching, and sewing, and she runs creative events under the name of Makeshop (www.makeshop.co) and sells small batches of hand sewn and printed items.
