WITH ELIZABETH COGAR
MAR 23, 12PM-4PM
You’ll be delighted with the outcome of this class… a simple summer dress or tunic made using one of the wonderfully designed patterns of Sonya Philip (100 Acts of Sewing). It’s fast and easy and you’ll learn a trick or two, too. Students should bring 3 yards of cotton or linen(no knits), laundered and ironed, and a sewing machine if you have one. Pattern (sizes XS-XXXL) is included in class fee.
*Basic sewing skills needed -- how to work your machine (rethread, bobbin winding, etc). Sign up for our Sewing 101 class first if necessary. No garment sewing skills necessary.
ELIZABETH COGAR learned her improvisational teaching and making style from her artist mother. She works with textiles, exploring methods of dyeing, printing, hand-stitching, and sewing, and she runs creative events under the name of Makeshop (www.makeshop.co) and sells small batches of hand sewn and printed items (www.yippyskippy.biz).
