APR 23 6-7:30PM, APR 27 5-8PM & APR 30 6-7:30PM

In this 3-day course, participants will learn the basics of DSLR Photography (aperture, shutter speed, ISO, white balance, lens coverage, touch on flash photography). Bring your camera and your tripod, all other materials will be provided.   
Day one: Tuesday, April 23rd 6-7:30p
Cover basic rules of photography (Rule of Thirds, Golden Ratio, Composition, etc.); Discuss of the camera itself (function, settings, difference in terminology between camera brands); Talk about long exposure photography.
Day two: Saturday, April 27th 5-8p
Go on a photowalk around Richmond and practice the skills covered on day one.
Day three: Tuesday, April 30th 6-7:30p
Bring your pictures and your notes to review what you've learned. We will have a group discussion and show off your shots from class. 

BEN WHITE is a local portrait and wedding photographer, operating out of his studio in the Fan District. He balances his work between freelance photo shoots and working for Richmond Camera.
