JUN 29, 1-4PM

Come sew and chill! Through the repetitive motions of techniques such as Japanese sashiko and doodling with thread without worry of perfection, we'll explore the connection of stitching to mindfulness. We'll alternate between short silent periods and time to talk about the contemplative benefits of craft. All supplies provided.

ELIZABETH COGAR learned her improvisational teaching and making style from her artist mother. She works with textiles, exploring methods of dyeing, printing, hand-stitching, and sewing, and she runs creative events under the name of Makeshop (www.makeshop.co) and sells small batches of hand sewn and printed items (www.yippyskippy.biz).
