WITH LISA HUTCHINSON
SEP 11, 6-9PM
Don’t have a sewing machine? Don’t worry! In this class we will go through some hand sewing basics. Starting with a couple hand stitches then working on closures like buttons, snaps and eye hooks. After that we will cover darning and sweater damage along with tips, tricks and tools that will get you started stitching!
LISA HUTCHINSON has been sewing for 23 years thanks to her momma! Early on she used second-hand fabrics and materials to create clothing and textile art. After studying fashion design she continued down the road of reuse by upcycling and recycling as much as possible. Hoping to lower her environmental impact she shifted to clothing repair and mending, check out her sustainable stitches at topstitchmending.com.
