Screen Mono
Monday 3/10, 5:30-8:30PM
Instructor: Tyler Keylon
at Studio Two Three - 109 West 15th Street
Use painterly methods with silkscreens and acrylics to achieve unique prints! The monoprint is a printmaking method that utilizes drawing, painting, and collage to create stunning impressions. In this class, we will create varied editions and one-of-a-kind works combining different mark-making techniques. Creating monoprints and monotypes with silkscreens is a great way to work loosely. We will create a small run of prints by experimenting with different colors, lines, elements, and compositions.
Tyler Keylon is a painter, printmaker, writer, and bookbinder based in Richmond, Virginia. Themes and subjects range, depending on the mood. When he’s not studying anatomy or moseying through the Mellon Collection at the VMFA, he’s yapping (intentionally) and trying to find joy in anything and everything.
