Invented by famed bookmaker Hedi Kyle in 1979, the flag book is one of the most delightful paper book designs with its multiple viewing options. Learn more about the history behind the flag book, along with how to create a mock-up of this intricate binding. You’ll learn the proper ways of folding and constructing it, along with how to make hard covers for your books, and you’ll leave class with a finished blank book.

*Students are encouraged to bring in papers they’d like to incorporate or experiment with.
