with Sarah Curtis
Have a sewing machine in your closet and no idea how to use it? Bring your machine (and manual) or use one of ours and learn about the basics so you can start making stuff! We’ll cover threading, winding and loading a bobbin, changing the needle, basic stitching, adjusting the stitch length and basic techniques.
Supply List: Bring your machine and manual (if you have them) plus any basic sewing tools you already own (if any). We have machines available, too.
Sarah Curtis started sewing in 2010 when she wanted to save some money on roman shades then shifted her focus to clothing in 2012. Now, thanks to gobs of sewing classes and inspiration from sewing bloggers around the globe, her once-casual hobby has spiraled into a goal to never buy ready-to-wear clothing again. You can see what she’s made so far at www.dresshandmade.com.
