Indesign can be intimidating! The goal of this class is to conquer that fear! In this class we will equip new users with the fundamental skills to create professional-looking print and digital layouts, focusing on the interface and workspaces, text and image manipulation, and basic design principles that students will be able to use for any project they can dream up!

Carrie Garrison is a multimedia artist from Knoxville, Tennessee. She graduated with a BFA in graphic design from the University of Tennessee in 2020. During the pandemic, Carrie got her Master’s Degree in Art Education and taught in the public school system as a middle school art teacher for two years. Since relocating to Richmond, Carrie has focused on risograph printing, designing a line of greeting cards for her brand Foolish Designs which has been her small arts business with varying products since 2020.
