In this introductory class, students will learn how to build the three essential book forms: the magic 8-page zine, the accordion book, and the pamphlet stitch book. Materials and methods are simple and accessible, utilizing foundational skills of folding, cutting, collating, and binding. Every student will learn new ways to build and interact with versatile book structures. All levels of artists, designers, and craftspeople are welcome. Everyone will walk away with a small run of booklets with an opportunity to exchange work at the end of the class. All materials included.
