Want to learn how to add dynamic color to your woodblock prints? In this workshop you will learn the process of creating a traditional woodblock print that utilizes multiple blocks for colored layers. Besides the basic principles of woodblock printing you will be shown registration and offset techniques unique to the process. Each student will leave the class with a print that has 2-3 colors.

There will be an hour break for lunch!

Ricardo Ruiz is an artist and publisher based in Richmond, Virginia. His studio practice is rooted in drawing and explores modes of painting and printmaking. He uses different methods and genres of storytelling to explore themes of the human condition from the perspective of an artist who's invested in the history of the Americas.
