CMYK Screen

$75.00

Sunday 4/27 11-3
Instructor: Tyler Keylon
at Studio Two Three - 109 West 15th Street

Create the illusion of full-tone images by layering cyan, magenta, yellow, and black inks. We will briefly overview the digital pre-press process of CMYK separations, then spend the majority of class learning (and troubleshooting) the manual screen-printing process. Prints will be manually-pulled with acrylic ink onto paper. Images will be provided. Information will be provided to students with further details on setting up a file in Adobe for the CMYK silkscreen process. We will also go over ways to experiment with the CMYK process in both pre-press and printing production.

Tyler Keylon is a painter, printmaker, writer, and bookbinder based in Richmond, Virginia. Themes and subjects range, depending on the mood. When he’s not studying anatomy or moseying through the Mellon Collection at the VMFA, he’s yapping (intentionally) and trying to find joy in anything and everything.
